Ingredients
  

For the Tuna Filling:
  • 2 cans tuna drained
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 celery stalk finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp red onion finely chopped
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
For Assembly:
  • 4 slices sandwich bread white, wheat, or sourdough
  • 4 slices cheddar or Swiss cheese
  • 1 tbsp butter softened

Method
 

  1. Mix tuna, mayo, celery, onion, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Spread filling on bread slices and top with cheese.
  3. Close sandwiches and butter the outsides.
  4. Toast in skillet until golden and cheese melts.
  5. Cut in half and serve hot.
