Method
Brown beef in oil and set aside.
Cook onion, carrots, celery, and garlic.
Stir in tomato paste and cook briefly.
Add broth, seasoning, beef, and barley.
Simmer until beef and barley turn tender.
Finish with parsley and serve warm
