Ingredients
  

For the French Toast:
  • 8 thick slices of brioche or challah bread day-old works best
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter for cooking
For the Churro Coating:
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter for brushing
Optional Toppings:
  • Warm maple syrup
  • Caramel or chocolate sauce
  • Fresh berries or sliced bananas
  • Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for a dessert twist

Method
 

  1. Whisk eggs, milk, cream, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt into custard.
  2. Dip bread slices, then cook in butter until golden on both sides.
  3. Brush with melted butter and roll in cinnamon sugar.
  4. Stack on a plate, add toppings, and serve warm.
