Ingredients
  

For the Pinwheels:
  • 1 sheet puff pastry thawed but still cold
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese or mozzarella
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 egg for egg wash
Optional Add-ins:
  • Chopped parsley or chives
  • A sprinkle of chili flakes for mild heat
  • A touch of mustard or cream cheese spread before rolling

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a baking tray.
  2. Roll puff pastry, brush with butter, and sprinkle cheese, herbs, and seasoning.
  3. Roll tightly, slice, and arrange on the tray.
  4. Brush with egg wash and bake until golden and crisp.
