Ingredients
  

For the Banana Bread:
  • 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter melted
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs at room temperature
  • 4 very ripe bananas mashed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips plus extra for topping
Optional Add-ins:
  • Chopped walnuts or pecans
  • A pinch of cinnamon or espresso powder for depth
  • Drizzle of chocolate ganache for serving

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare loaf pan.
  2. Whisk together flour, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Combine butter, sugars, eggs, bananas, and vanilla.
  4. Fold dry ingredients into wet mixture and stir in chocolate chips.
  5. Pour into pan, sprinkle extra chips on top, and bake 60–70 minutes.
  6. Cool, slice, and serve with your favorite beverage.
