Ingredients
  

For the Gnocchi and Sauce:
  • 1 pound 16 oz potato gnocchi (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 1 14 oz can crushed tomatoes
  • ½ cup tomato sauce
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups fresh spinach optional, for added greens
  • 8 oz burrata cheese 2 small balls or 1 large
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish
Optional Add-ins:
  • Cooked Italian sausage or pancetta
  • Sun-dried tomatoes for extra depth
  • Roasted red peppers or zucchini for texture
  • Extra Parmesan or a drizzle of pesto for serving

Method
 

  1. Boil gnocchi until they float, then set aside.
  2. Sauté onion and garlic in olive oil. Add crushed tomatoes, cream, and Parmesan.
  3. Toss in gnocchi and simmer until thick and creamy.
  4. Top with burrata, basil, and olive oil before serving.
