Ingredients
  

For the Muffins:
  • 1 box spice cake mix 15.25 oz
  • 1 can pumpkin purée 15 oz, not pumpkin pie filling
Optional Add-ins:
  • ½ cup chocolate chips
  • ½ cup chopped pecans or walnuts
  • Cinnamon sugar for sprinkling

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line a muffin tin.
  2. Mix pumpkin purée with spice cake mix until smooth.
  3. Spoon batter into muffin cups, filling ¾ full.
  4. Bake 18–22 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  5. Cool slightly and enjoy warm or at room temperature.
