Extremely Moist Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

Ingredients
  

For the Banana Bread Batter:
  • 3 large ripe bananas the riper the better
  • ½ cup melted butter
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips plus a bit more for topping if you like
Optional Add-ins:
  • Chopped walnuts or pecans
  • Cinnamon
  • A swirl of peanut butter
  • Extra chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Mash the bananas in a bowl.
  2. Stir in melted butter, sugars, eggs, and vanilla.
  3. Whisk the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in another bowl.
  4. Fold dry ingredients into the banana mixture.
  5. Mix in chocolate chips.
  6. Pour into a greased loaf pan and sprinkle extra chips on top if you want.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 55–65 minutes.
  8. Cool, slice, and enjoy warm.
