Slow Cooker Salisbury Steak Meatballs

Ingredients
  

For the Meatballs:
  • 1 ½ lbs ground beef
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
For the Gravy:
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 medium onion sliced
  • 8 oz mushrooms sliced
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 3 tbsp water for thickening
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
Optional Garnishes:
  • Fresh parsley chopped

Method
 

  1. Mix beef, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Shape into meatballs.
  2. Brown meatballs in a skillet, then transfer to slow cooker.
  3. Sauté onions and mushrooms, add broth, ketchup, and Worcestershire, then pour over meatballs.
  4. Cook on low 5–6 hours or high 3 hours.
  5. Thicken with cornstarch slurry, garnish with parsley, and serve hot.
