Ingredients

For the Smoothie:
  • 1 cup strawberries fresh or frozen
  • 1 cup ripe mango chunks
  • 1 cup milk orange juice, or coconut water
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • ½ cup yogurt optional for creaminess
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup optional
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Optional Add-Ins:
  • 1 banana for extra thickness
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • A handful of spinach leaves
  • Coconut flakes for garnish
  • Fresh mint leaves

Method

  1. Prepare the Fruit: Wash the strawberries and remove the green tops before slicing them. Peel and cube the mango into small pieces so it blends easily and smoothly.
  2. Add Ingredients to the Blender: Place strawberries, mango, liquid of your choice, ice cubes, yogurt, honey, and vanilla extract into the blender. Adding the liquid first helps the blades move more freely.
  3. Blend Until Smooth: Start blending on low speed, then increase gradually until the mixture turns creamy and even. This usually takes about 30 to 45 seconds depending on your blender.
  4. Check the Consistency: Pause and check how thick the smoothie looks. If it feels too thick, add a little more liquid. If it seems thin, add more fruit or a few extra ice cubes.
  5. Taste and Adjust Flavor: Take a small sip before serving. If the fruit is not very sweet, you can add a little more honey to balance the flavor.
  6. Pour and Serve Fresh: Pour into chilled glasses right away and serve while cold. Garnish with sliced strawberries, mango cubes, or mint leaves for a bright finish.
