Tender muffins swirled with cinnamon sugar and topped with buttery streusel for a bakery-style treat.

Ingredients
  

For the Muffins
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter softened
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup sour cream or plain Greek yogurt
For the Cinnamon Swirl
  • cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
For the Streusel Topping
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
Optional Add-ins
  • ½ cup chopped pecans or walnuts
  • Vanilla glaze powdered sugar + milk + vanilla for drizzling

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and prepare muffin tin.
  2. Make streusel topping and cinnamon swirl.
  3. Cream butter, sugar, and eggs; mix in dry ingredients and sour cream.
  4. Layer batter with cinnamon swirl and top with streusel.
  5. Bake 18–22 minutes until golden.
  6. Cool slightly and enjoy, with optional glaze drizzle.
