Ingredients
  

For the Smoothie:
  • 1 cup strawberries fresh or frozen
  • 1 banana
  • ½ cup yogurt
  • ¾ cup milk any kind
  • 1 –2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup ice cubes
Optional Add-ins:
  • Chia seeds for extra texture
  • Oats for a more filling smoothie
  • Peanut butter for a nutty flavor
  • Spinach for a light green boost

Method
 

  1. Prepare the Fruit: Start by washing the strawberries well and removing the green tops. Slice them into smaller pieces so they blend more easily. Peel the banana and cut it into chunks to help create a smoother blend.
  2. Add Ingredients to Blender: Place the strawberries and banana into the blender first. Add yogurt and milk so the mixture blends smoothly without getting stuck. Pour in honey or maple syrup along with vanilla extract for a soft, sweet flavor.
  3. Add Ice for Chill: Drop in the ice cubes to give the smoothie a cold and refreshing feel. This step helps create a thicker texture and keeps the drink nicely chilled after blending.
  4. Blend Until Creamy: Blend everything on high speed until the mixture becomes smooth and even. Stop once or twice to scrape down the sides so all the fruit blends properly and no chunks remain.
  5. Adjust Texture and Taste: Check the consistency after blending. Add a little more milk if it feels too thick or blend in extra ice if you want it colder. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.
  6. Serve Immediately: Pour the smoothie into glasses right away. The texture stays smooth and creamy when fresh, and the flavor feels more vibrant when served cold.
