Ingredients
  

For the Shrimp Creole:
  • 1 ½ pounds large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion finely chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper diced
  • 1 red bell pepper diced
  • 2 celery stalks finely chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 can 28 ounces crushed tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 ½ cups chicken broth
  • 2 teaspoons Creole seasoning store-bought or homemade
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 green onions sliced for garnish
  • Fresh parsley chopped for garnish
For Serving:
  • 4 cups cooked white rice

Method
 

  1. Sauté onion, peppers, celery, and garlic in butter and oil.
  2. Stir in tomato paste, tomatoes, and broth. Simmer with spices for 25–30 minutes.
  3. Add shrimp, cook until pink, about 5–7 minutes.
  4. Serve over white rice, garnished with green onions and parsley.
